Meerut is a prominent city located in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. This city is situated 70 km away from the capital of India, New Delhi and 453 km away from Lucknow, which is the capital of Uttar Pradesh. The city also has been mentioned in the Ramayana and was known as Maya, much before the mughal invasion which later changed the name to Meerut.
