An Ancient city and important Holy place in Uttarakhand known as Gateway to the land of Gods where Hari(means Lord Vishnu) and Dwar(A gateway). Haridwar is most religious and a pilgrimage site for Hindus which is located on the bank of Ganges and acts as an entrance for Devbhumi Uttarakhand. Haridwar is considered as Moksha Dwar in Hindu religion which means a person who takes the dip in Ganges at Har ki Pauri Haridwar or been burnt here after their death, will never take birth again and their souls lives in Paramdham(A place where God lives).
